This is because dedicating most of your time to work threatens your physical and mental well-being, even if you really like what you do. In fact, productivity decreases as the hours go by. Thus, your head becomes saturated and you achieve less, the more time you spend at work.

Overloading work and anxiety

In other words, the stress that comes from too much work leads to excess secretion of certain hormones, such as cortisol (known as the stress hormone). This hormone prepares you to cope with certain situations. Therefore, it is not harmful in small doses.

However, when you secrete too much cortisol due to constant stress and worry, the result is an abundance that can cause a stressful feeling of discomfort if it is maintained over time. It can manifest itself as a feeling of pressure in the chest, abdominal pain and palpitations.
